As part of the European engineering team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable distributed backend systems and APIs in Python.
- Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to production deployment.
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines and managing containerized applications using Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes (on-premise and cloud).
- Deploying and maintaining services across AWS (primary), GCP, and Azure environments.
- Automating infrastructure and deployment workflows using Terraform and GitHub Actions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams in a GitHub-based workflow, following branching strategies and code review best practices.
- Integrating AI/ML services, vector databases, and data-driven components into existing systems.
- Ensuring performance, scalability, and security of deployed solutions through testing and monitoring.
- Contributing to system documentation, technical standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working closely with product and DevOps teams in a fast-paced, agile-driven development environment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should demonstrate experience and expertise in:
- Proven track record delivering scalable, distributed systems under tight timelines
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, focusing on backend and API development
- Familiarity with GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes (on-prem and cloud) deployment processes
- Experience with cloud environments – primarily AWS, but also GCP and Azure
- Strong proficiency in GitHub-based development workflows, including multiple branch strategies and collaboration within distributed teams
- Proven skills in automating deployments using GitHub Actions, Docker containers, and Helm charts
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Comfort working in fast-paced, agile-driven environments
- Familiarity with AI/ML service deployments, vector databases, and related modern data technologies
