We are seeking an experienced Hosting Services Administrator, for one of our top clients in the Telecommunications sector. Our ideal candidate will be able to manage systems and services dedicated to hosting related technologies within the corporate data center, with the ability to manage hosting environments globally. Requirements:
- Education: College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in hosting services, system administration, or a similar role.
- Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
- Strong working knowledge in enterprise backup disk-based solutions (e.g., Azure Backup, CommVault, Veeam).
- Knowledge of industry standard maintenance practices and monitoring tools is required, Solarwinds preferred.
- Proficient in Azure IaaS/PaaS and enterprise-grade virtualization.
- Solid experience with Active Directory and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- SCVMM & SCCM: Experience with Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Azure Administration (AZ-104 or successor) Intune and Azure Arc is a plus.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Cultural Understanding: Demonstrated ability to adapt to diverse cultural environments and work with global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Data Center Management: Execute team objectives for local and global data centers, ensuring efficient operation of hosting services across multiple regions.
- Wintel Platform Administration: Manage and maintain the Wintel environment (Windows Server) globally, ensuring maximum uptime and availability, as well as providing technical support, managing enterprise grade storage systems and infrastructure.
- System Configuration & Upgrades: Implement changes, upgrades, and removals of hardware or software systems in the hosting environment, working closely with business partners, as well as oversee the patching and upgrading of operating systems.
- Policy and Procedure Improvements: Identify areas for improvement in existing policies and procedures and recommend necessary changes to enhance operational efficiency and documentation.
- Security Compliance: Ensure that security standards are maintained and proactively address any vulnerabilities in the environment.
- Disaster Recovery & Incident Management: Participate in disaster recovery testing and remediation of incidents and service requests to minimize downtime.
- Application and Hardware Support: Provide global support for applications such as Microsoft SCCM, virtualization platforms (SCVMM, vCenter), and enterprise storage systems (e.g., HPE 3PAR, Dell Compellent).
- Backup Process Support: Support and maintain global backup processes, including remediation as necessary.
