We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Engineer to join our growing team for one of our leader clients in the Insurance sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex Java-based applications, with a focus on enterprise Java (J2EE) development and microservices architecture. This role offers a hybrid working model and requires in-depth knowledge of Spring Framework, Hibernate, and experience in integrating new information systems with third-party applications and operational systems. As a Senior Java Engineer, you will play a key role in creating efficient, scalable, and reliable software solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implement microservices architectures using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related technologies.
  • Integrate new information systems with third-party operational systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create middleware solutions that enhance system communication and overall efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to latency, availability, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs for seamless communication between different systems.
  • Apply best practices in software development, including testing, version control, and code reviews.
  • Manage the software development lifecycle using CI/CD tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise Java development (J2EE) and microservices architecture.
  • Strong expertise in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud), Hibernate for ORM.
  • Experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs for system communication.
  • Proven ability to integrate new systems with third-party applications and operational environments.
  • Technical skills in DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins for managing the software development lifecycle (CI/CD).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting latency, availability, and scalability issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in mentoring junior team members is a plus.
