We are looking for a skilled SQL Database Administrator (DBA) for one of our major clients in the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, upgrade, and apply patches to Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring stability and security.
Manage medium to large-sized production database systems, ensuring availability, performance, and scalability.
Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of SQL Server instances to optimize database performance.
Implement and maintain security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, resolving them promptly to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with the development team to design and maintain high-performance database systems.
Maintain backup and recovery plans, and regularly test disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
+2 years of experience installing, configuring, upgrading and patching Microsoft SQL Server instances.
Strong experience managing production databases in medium to large-scale environments.
Proficient in performance tuning, capacity planning, and database optimization techniques.
Knowledge of database security best practices to safeguard data and mitigate potential risks.
Familiarity with other database systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a strong plus.
Hands-on experience with scripting and automation technologies (e.g., PowerShell, T-SQL, Bash) to streamline database operations.
Excellent command of Greek and English languages.
