Requirements:

Education: College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in hosting services, system administration, or a similar role, with previous experience in a supervisory role.

Technical Expertise in:

    • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
    • Expertise in enterprise backup disk-based solutions (e.g., Azure Backup, CommVault, Veeam).
    • Proficient in Azure IaaS/PaaS and enterprise-grade virtualization.
    • Solid experience with Active Directory, and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
    • SCVMM & SCCM: Experience with Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
    • Exceptional knowledge of Wintel computer hardware & operating systems (Windows Server Operating Systems).
    • Knowledge of monitoring tools like SolarWinds and other industry-standard maintenance practices.

Leadership & Management:

    • Proven ability to maintain a high level of employee morale within a geographically diverse team.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on staff development, recruitment, and performance evaluations.
    • Excellent project management capabilities.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising Data Center Hosting Operations: Execute team objectives for managing local and global data centers, ensuring optimal service delivery and uptime.
  • Wintel Platform Administration: Administer and maintain Wintel platforms, ensuring configurations meet performance and reliability standards, providing global technical support.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee and manage enterprise-grade hosting solutions, compute/storage hypervisors, and storage systems, ensuring high availability and continuous service.
  • Key applications support Microsoft SCCM, virtualization platforms (SCVMM, vCenter), and enterprise storage solutions support (HPE 3PAR, Dell Compellent, NetApp).
  • Policy & Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in policies and procedures, recommending and developing new ones to enhance operations.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that security standards are met, identifying and addressing deficiencies promptly to maintain a secure operating environment.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Draft operational documentation as required and provide regular updates to leadership on system performance, infrastructure changes, and incident management.
  • Backup Process & Remediation: Support the global backup process, troubleshooting and remediating backup failures to ensure compliance with data protection policies.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Develop and implement automation for routine processes to reduce manual intervention, improve efficiency, and minimize human error.
  • Special Projects: Contribute to special projects, including strategic initiatives to improve hosting services, enhance infrastructure performance, or roll out new technologies.
